Service Description
Young makers will step into the colorful world of embroidery through a week-long folk art adventure designed especially for homeschool children ages 6–12 . In this beginner-friendly course, campers will learn the foundations of hand embroidery in a fun, encouraging environment while exploring creativity, patience, and traditional fiber arts. Students will practice embroidery safety, proper hoop and needle use, fabric preparation, thread techniques, and decorative stitching while learning 15 foundational embroidery stitches that can be used in countless future projects. Throughout the week, campers will build confidence through guided practice, creative exercises, and hands-on crafting. By the end of camp, each student will complete one of two whimsical handmade projects of their choice: A set of felt woodland animal stuffed ornaments or A larger plush spring beetle stuffy toy Campers will personalize their creations with colors, textures, and stitched embellishments, making every project completely unique. This course is perfect for creative children who enjoy art, storytelling, sewing, nature themes, and hands-on crafting. No prior embroidery experience is required. All materials are included.
