Needlecrafting Class Ages 12-18

This is a listing for an in-person class at Thornwood Schools for Needlecrafting Ages 12-18. This class runs for 16 weeks between August 13th and December 15th. It will be held every Thursday from 12pm-2pm. This course will be a survey of all sorts of needlecrafts, including sewing, embroidery, crochet, knitting, weaving, felting, and more. We will explore week by week the many kinds of needlecrafts, including technical skills that are used on several completed projects. Some of these projects include felt embroidered ornaments, a pincushion, a quilted bag, a small tapestry, and more. All course materials are included in the cost. Every session will include hands-on, age-appropriate projects with individualized instruction using Montessori principles. Course will also include the hilarious history of needlecrafting and how it has shaped our world.
