Elements of Art Ages 12-16 Class

This is a listing for an in-person homeschool class at Thornwood Schools for "Elements of Art" for ages 12-18. This class runs for 16 weeks between August 13th and December 17th. It will be held every Thursday from 9am to 11am. This course will include an in-depth study of each of the elements of art, as well as a survey of famous works of art, lives of artists, movements and periods in art, art history, and techniques for using art materials. All course materials are included in the cost. Every session will include hands-on, age-appropriate projects with individualized instruction using Montessori principles. Although class content offers a comprehensive foundation on basic art elements, many parts of the lessons are laugh-out-loud funny!
